Purpose - Life Is Worth Living
Yesterday Justin Bieber released his fourth studio album, Purpose. The 21 year old singer and songwriter, formerly recognized for the trouble he's gotten into, has solidified in track 10 of this album that regardless of past turmoil and the world's view of him and his actions, he's going to keep pushing forward in his craft and in his life because Life Is Worth Living.
Entering the industry as a young teenager is difficult. The world watches you grow up. When you're a certified platinum artist at the age of 15, the world not only watches you grow up, they watch your every move, and critique your every downfall. In this Huffington Post article Bieber explains how the media taking advantage of his rocky road from childhood star to adulthood takes a toll on the real person inside of him; not just the artist that the world knows:
"I just want people to know I’m human. I’m struggling just to get through the days. I think a lot of people are. You get lonely, you know, when you’re on the road. People see the glam and the amazing stuff, but they don’t know the other side. This life can rip you apart."
Specific lyrics of Life Is Worth Living convey Biebs' message:
"I ain't perfect, won't deny
My reputation's on the line
So I'm working on a better me
Life is worth living (x2)
So live another day"
People suffer from depression and other mental and mood disorders in silence every day. This album, Purpose, shows the world that mistakes can be made, trials and tribulations can arise in life, but ultimately growth can happen. Your purpose is unique to you and each and every person on this earth has a divine purpose. That in itself is something to live for.
Whether or not a Belieber (yes, I spelled that correctly) checkout the newly released Purpose and if you're ever questioning your life, skip straight to Track 10, Life Is Worth Living. Time heals almost everything, give it time! It's never too late to rewrite your life's new song.
